Student Body

As one of the country's leading B-schools and top HR Colleges, our Student Body takes pride in nurturing the brightest minds of MBA-HRD by fostering a positive learning atmosphere throughout the journey. We as Office bearers exist solely to advance students’ interests and provide them a voice in shaping their ideal B-School experience. All the Office Bearers work in close collaboration with the Committees, Administration, Faculty, and Students for the development, review, and revision of appropriate policies and support for the student body. We also manage Student Body Fund with the utmost transparency to assure that our students receive the best learning environment through Skill Development, Flagship Events, Industry Exposure, and other initiatives.

The Student Body always looks forward to utilizing the best from the diverse and talented minds who join the DSE MBA- HRD Fraternity every year.

The Alumni Committee acts as a thread that binds the alumni network with their alma mater. We aim to create a synergy of growing together by facilitating various formal and informal initiatives. The committee diligently works to foster, nurture and leverage the vast industry exposure and experience of our alumni network in the course of institution building.

Corporate Relations Team acts as a liaison between the corporate world and the student community. The basic purpose of the Placement Committee is to manage all the placement related activities at DSE MHROD. It also ensures the readiness of the fellow participants for the corporate world. CRT keeps in touch with potential recruiters and tracks their future requirements to better prepare our students for summer and final recruitment opportunities.

HighQ – The HR Club, the youngest core committee of MBA(HRD) has been envisaged to support the students of the program in all their academic endeavors and help them acquire the core HR competencies and knowledge expected of an upcoming HR professional. HighQ is responsible for creating an atmosphere of academic rigor, bridging students’ academic gaps, and creating a talent pool with a functional knowledge of HR and other relevant subjects.

Media Outreach Cell is the brand ambassador of the programme and consistently works towards spreading awareness about our department, across different social media platforms as well as the traditional media. The cell engages with all the other committees throughout the year, helping them in covering various events, regular activities, guest lectures, and ensuring that the college gets its media representation. Moreover, the cell also publishes the annual HR journal ‘Jigyasa’.

The Student Development Cell of MBA (HRD) works towards the enrichment of the students by providing an interface to the students, where they can make the best of the Academic and Industrial Knowledge. SDC is an all-inclusive center for promoting personal and professional development among the students.

Team Convention is one of the oldest committees of MBA (HRD/IB),With its core principle of “learning by doing”, it organizes the Annual Business Convention of the MBA. The committee’s vision remains to facilitate the journey of students, to provide them with a platform shared by experienced professionals, knowledgeable scholars and future HR leaders and to create an outstanding opportunity for the branding of the department and developing learning of its students.

The discipline committee ensures proper decorum and order during corporate lectures, conferences, conventions as well as all other separate events organized by the committees and ensures their successful resolution.  At the end of the day, we want to inculcate the value of self-discipline as “Discipline is the difference between good and the great”.

The Entertainment, Sports and Cultural Committee (ESAC) proudly takes care of the celebrations. ESAC aims to provide a platform for students to explore their horizons beyond academics. The committee is responsible for engagement activities and sports activities to aid the learning. ESAC provides a platform for students to get involved and to interact with other students, thus leading to increased learning and enhanced development.

Sankalp- the social responsibility cell of Department of Commerce works with the aim of building socially responsible managers by helping students develop sensitivity towards the society and providing opportunities to apply their management skills to social problems. It also provides students a platform to give back to society and work for social causes which they are most passionate about.
